Description
Chateau Barka is the winery with the highest vineyards in altitude in Lebanon and the middle east, in the village of Barka situated on the road between the famous temples of Baalbek and the Cedars of Bcharre, at 1450m from sea level with its vineyards starting at 1300m in the village of Bechwat neighboring the miraculous church of Sainte Mary and on the hills of Barka village on the way to Aynata al Arz where they reach 1700m of altitude scattered among the millennial Juniper trees.
The beauty of the “terroir”, the warm family welcoming, the wine production explanatory tour and the tasty gastronomy are a wonderful experience not to be missed.
Option 1
A- An unforgettable rich, scrumptious dinner inside the Chateau A GOGO
B- A heavenly sleepover at a 1500-meter altitude (12-minute drive by car)
C- A delicious, traditional, Lebanese breakfast.
D- Harvest participation in our vineyards followed by a deep presentation on the wine making process at the winery then a hiking trip, which allows the visitors to enjoy the charm of Barka vineyards and hills shouldering a celestial view that overlooks the Bekaa plane with its vast area, where you can see the kingdom of Lazab (Juniper), hawthorn, wild pear, and orchards of apple, cherry, apricot, and almond.
Option 2
A- Hiking trip, which allows the visitors to enjoy the charm of Barka vineyards and hills shouldering a celestial view that overlooks the Bekaa plane with its vast area, where you can see the kingdom of Lazab (Juniper), hawthorn, wild pear, and orchards of apple, cherry, apricot, and almond.
B- Rich and scrumptious lunch at the Chateau Restaurant A GOGO
C- Participation of the visitors in the harvesting of grapes in our vineyards.
